here to complete the "Expression of Interest" online form. Selected business schools will receive an email invitation from the organizing committee in February/March 2024.
The Competition is open to full-time undergraduate students who meet the following criteria:
• Full-time undergraduate students, majoring in any business-related disciplines.
• For students on the European higher education system: currently studying in or before the third year of specialized business education.
• For students on the North American higher education system: currently studying in or before the fourth year of undergraduate study.
• Students who have not participated in HKICC in previous years.
Teams will receive 2 business case studies: the Mini Case on Day 2 and the Main Case on Day 3. Each team will have 5 hours for the mini case and 24 hours for the main case to research, analyze, and provide recommendations.
Teams MUST bring their own laptops for use in their hotel accommodation. Backup laptops and/or laptop equipment will NOT be provided, and HKUST will not be able to provide technical support for team laptops. Teams have to bring stationery for their own use.
Computers/laptops, a wireless microphone and a remote mouse will be provided at the competition venues. Teams should use the computers/laptops provided by the organizer for the presentations. However, teams are welcome to bring their own presenter remote for use and have to restore the original set-up after their presentation.

The dress code for all presentations should be business attire.
Each team will be assigned a room for case preparation. Teams have to work on their own after receiving the case. Discussion of the case with advisors or any parties other than their teammates is not permitted.
Advisors should help advise/coach/train their teams prior to the competition. During the case preparation and presentation, advisors should refrain from communicating with their teams. Case discussion with their teams is not permitted until the team is no longer in the competition.
Only one advisor will be allowed to join the team for the competition and the registration fee covers the accommodation and designated meals for one advisor only.
The registration fee covers a 6-night accommodation in our designated hospitality facility and meals for each team (comprising four students and one advisor), local transportation (excluding transportation to and from the airport) during the competition, and activities organized by HKICC, unless otherwise specified.
Any requests for early check-in or late check-out regarding assigned accommodation will be handled on a first-come-first-served basis, subject to room availability. An additional lodging fee will be applied. For further assistance, please reach out to the HKICC Organizing Committee at hkicc@ust.hk.
HKICC Organizing Committee will provide necessary information and documents to facilitate teams' visa application to Hong Kong. Please consolidate the request on supporting documents for all team members and send it to us at
hkicc@ust.hk at least two months prior to the competition.
Airport transfer will not be provided. However, directions of getting to the Conference Lodge at HKUST from the airport and an address card will also be provided prior to teams’ departure. In case of any issue, please contact the HKICC Organizing Committee at (+852) 2358 4540 for assistance.
