Octopus

The Octopus card is a stored value card that allows you to travel and make cashless payments at various points, including public transport, dining, entertainment, shopping, and more.

We have prepared a Tourist Octopus card for you with an initial stored value of HK$300 to cover your meals throughout the competition period.

To reload your card with cash, you can visit thousands of locations throughout Hong Kong. The reload value should be in multiples of HK$50, and you can reload up to a total value of HK$3,000. Cash reloading locations include:

• MTR customer service centre
• Value-adding machines in all MTR stations (usually next to ticket selling machines). Only HK$50 or HK$100 banknotes are accepted.
• Main authorized add value service providers: 759 Store, 7-Eleven, AEON, Arome, Café de Coral, Circle K, Fairwood, Mannings, Maxim's Cakes, Maxim's MX, McDonald's, Park'n Shop, Saint Honore Cake Shop, Starbucks, VanGO, Vanguard, Watsons, Wellcome Supermarket.

If there is any remaining value on the card, it can be refunded, but the Octopus card will be deactivated. You can keep it as a souvenir.
